Being held captive by my kids...
CRAVING adult contact...
New babies are hard, am I right!? You new momma's know what I am talking about!
I've had four newborns in my house, and through trial and error, I have found some must-have essentials that worked great for me, and I would like to share them with you, hopefully you'll love them as much as I do and they will make life a little bit easier 😉 Honest essentials - incase you aren't familiar Honest is a company created by celebrity and, most importantly, mom, Jessica Alba. She was looking for 'honest to goodness' safe, effective products to use on her babies, when unable to find what she wanted she set out to make her own and launched the Honest empire! There are so many Honest products I love and many I need for my newborn, from the organic baby powder to the shampoo/body wash & conditioner, diapers, baby DHA... And the prenatal vitamins are amazing! We use almost all their products around the house as well, and we just love them. I can't say enough good things about these products! Go get them!! www.honest.com Woombie! - oh my are these things ever amazing! My first baby constantly broke out of her swaddle, so she wasn't getting any sleep and neither were we. I was introduced to the Woombie by my sister in law. Woombie is its name, a swaddle sack that provides and nice tight swaddle with just enough wiggle room so baby feels like she is still inside momma's womb! How awesome is that!? The transition from womb to world is hard enough on baby, and we as moms are constantly looking for ways to make life easier on them. The Woombie also has a double zipper, so at you don't have to completely undo the swaddle and make a nighttime changing any more disruptive than it needs to be. MUST HAVE! I even take them to the hospital and baby goes straight into the Woombie once they are born and we are done with our skin to skin contact. www.woombie.com Zipadee Zip. This is a swaddle transition sleep sack. How hard is it to transition baby from sleeping swaddled to sleeping with their arms flailing about? Hard! And once baby can roll from back to tummy they certainly can't flip back over if their hands are all confined under their chest. Zipadee Zip is basically like a loose swaddle. It offers the comfort of a snug swaddle with the freedom of sleeping arms free! It is also like a sleep sack, so you can rest easy knowing baby isn't cold in the night. You can even use these on babies who haven't been swaddled. The just help baby sleep. It's awesome! www.sleepingbaby.com Aleva Nursing Balm. I was all ready bragging about Honest, and they do provide an awesome nursing balm, but I had fallen in love with Aleva before Honest was around. Aleva is a lanolin free, organic product, so there is no reason to wipe off before feedings. It's thick so you only require a little with each application and it has a lovely citrus scent! Love it!! www.alevnaturals.com Bobee Inc Diaper and Wipe dispenser. This is a unique product! It is a place to put diapers and wipes that hangs on the wall!! I know, awesome right!? It gets all the clutter off your change table and keeps diapers and wipes at easy access! Awesome! http://www.amazon.com/Bobee-Dispenser-Changing-Nursery-Organizer/dp/B00YNK7QZ0 www.bobeeinc.com Blooming Bath. This is a very unique product. It turns your kitchen sink into a cozy place to bath baby! The petals are foam, soft and cushy, and independent making it easily manipulated to fit any sink. The best part is, you can hang it up on a hook in the tub to dry, and it's completely washable, if it gets dirty just throw it in the washing machine! www.bloomingbath.com I love that most of these products aren't from big corporations, they were created by regular parents, looking for solutions to typical problems and created their own. "Genius is the ability to recognize the obvious" - unknown. Not only are these products practical I feel great knowing I am supporting another regular family like mine!
